Back in 1983, two medical secretaries founded the British Society of Medical Secretaries and Administrators as a membership organisation whose sole purpose was to support fellow medical secretaries in their role.
The society over the following years moved into training and developed a range of courses to support the role and those working in other medical administration roles.
In 2009 City and Guilds partnered with AMSPAR to create the accredited medical terminology courses we deliver today. We were one of the first training companies accredited to deliver these courses and still do, to the highest standard today.
